It throws us things we dare not face
How people close can change our lives
Some hold us back, some help us thrive

These words here that I write for you
Are written so you know the truth

I fear I have embarrassed you

My hope was that when you're with me
Your heart is warm, your soul is free
You've let me in a sacred place
Please trust in me it's not disgrace

I love you more each day we meet

Angel

One day an Angel I did see
On one dark day in front of me
At first I wasn't sure at all
In a world so vast, and I so small

But soon it became plain to see
All that was real, two souls set free
So truly gifted as a lark
The proof to me you light a spark

I think I know of which I speak
When I express of how unique
I feel when you appear each day
A simple truth, I'm here to stay

I cherish all the love you give
Although my head, much like a sieve
I think I speak my truth to you
You are an Angel through and through
